We know that navigating the intricacies of special education can be overwhelming. The College Bound Academy Exceptional Student Support Services team is committed to helping you ensure that your student receives the services and support they are entitled to under the law.
Child Find
Child Find is a component of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and is an ongoing process of locating, identifying, and evaluating children between the ages of 0 and 21 who may need special education and related services. “All children with disabilities, residing in College Bound Academy District, whether attending public or private schools, should be identified, located, and evaluated.” This service is provided to children with suspected disabilities, free of charge.

EDUCATIONAL TESTING REFERRALS for people who are suspected of having a disability within the College Bound Academy School System
What Are My Rights?
Families who are receiving or eligible for special education services have certain rights according to state and federal laws. For questions about these rights, please contact your local school , the area Regional Education Service Center , or Special Education Services (SES) of the Oklahoma State Department of Education. These rights and procedural safeguards are in accordance with Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations for implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the IDEA Amendments of 1997.
